Honey Run Trail Work Day Sept 20th/21st

Postby Aaron » Mon Jul 28, 2008 5:01 pm

I'm going to grab the Bull by the Horns and post a work day.

Due to the weekend now being open from the cancellation of the 24 hrs of Landahl, I am planning a workday for the 20th/21st of Sept. That will give us all time to get our ducks in a row and get those kitchen passes.

More specific details to follow.
Start time? 8:00 am.
list of work to be done? :?: :?:
camping/no camping? :D
:) ride?? 8)
what Pink will be wearing? :|
What kind of beer Dover will be bringing? :homer:
what Harter is cooking :!: ?
whether we want to invite Kat or not ? :static: .....

You know the important stuff

I'll be in Colorado that weekend. :D

And the weekend after that, and the weekend after that, and the weekend after that.

Actually it sounds like fun, sorry I can't make it.

I'll most likely be there. As it turns out the kitchen pass for the 24 hour race is transferrable.

Really? It seems to me you would have mentioned it before this? Perhaps in another thread or something?

Congratulations. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who wishes you the best. I'll be sure to look you up when I head that way so I can take you up on your (yet to be extended but I'm assuming it's just understood) generous offer to put me up for a couple weeks so I can ride your local trails and drink your beer from your keg.
I don't always drink beer, but when I do, I usually show up, shirtless on the TV show, "Cops". Stay thirsty my friends.

Thanks Ken,

Right now I have a keg of Fat Tire on tap just because I know I can return it somewhere in Colorado no problem.

So, to get this back on track, if I was still living here in KC on the weekend of Sept 20th I would be up for camping and some trailwork at LOSP. Sounds like fun. Hopefully by then it will be a little cooler.

I would like to try to make this, September is a great camping month. I would probably do the work day Saturday, then get in a ride and drive home Sunday, I hate driving home at night. Camping at McCubbin's point would be nice (I hate all the RV's at the main campground), anybody else planning on camping at McCubbin's yet?

<bump>

Is this still on?

Just wondering as it looks like we might have to postpone the poker run and I'm figgerin' out when it might work.

It has been cancelled.

The trail is in pretty good shape, and we are considering a work day in November.
