Reminder, just under 2 weeks away is the EarthRiders Social Ride at Wyco.
When: Wednesday September 13th at 6pm
Where: Wyandotte County Lake MTB Trails - Shelter 14
Note: this is the west side of the dam, not the normal Shelter 9 trailhead on the east side. Shelter 14 is easy to get to from I-435 via exit 18(Wolcott). It seems remote but is very fast to get to, and works well for folks coming from the west side, but even if you come from east on I-70 to I-435. see this:
GOOGLE MAP LOCATION
What: Riders typically group up and roll out around 6. If you're new, worried about your ability level, or just have a general question please find an EarthRiders officer. Mug shots are posted under the About tab on Earthriders.com, and we will do our best to hook you up with some new friends. Many of us that know the trails will be available for guidance, so don't be shy.
Food: BBQ and sides - vegetarian option will be available
Drinks: BYOB - we will have some water and gatorade
Sponsor shop: Cycle City
We aim to have at least one no-drop group at every Social Ride. Everyone meets back around 7:30 for social time with food provided by EarthRiders. We give an update on club and local MTB rides and events, and we ask for feedback and suggestions for club activities, then conclude with the raffle around 8pm.
If the hosting trail system is closed due to trail conditions at 6pm the day before an EarthRiders Social Ride, it is postponed until the following Wednesday(the 20th). If trail conditions do not allow again, then we cancel the ride..
All EarthRiders events are free and open to the public. If you're not a member, still come ride with us and see if you would like to join the Family.
Helmets are required for all riders at this and every EarthRiders event! Ride at your own risk though no one will be left behind.
