Mt. Kessler / Back 40 / Slaughter Pen

Postby swedishfishmx » Tue Nov 22, 2016 3:50 pm

All 3 distinctly different, all 3 fun.

Mt. Kessler was the most familiar as to the type of trails one would find in KC. Back 40 was a blast, with big climbs and big descents with lots of flow. Slaughter Pen had more wooden obstacles than the other three combined with lots of drops and of course a downhill and dirt jump section.

Just a little over 3 hours from KC. Well worth the drive.

Yea it is! Did you ride Blowing Springs? It is a great addition to start/end at Blowing Spring when doing the back 40. There is also connector trail from Slaughter Pen to/from Blowing Springs that cuts the shared path easily by a 1/3rd or so.

Yes, we did Blowing Springs as well. Everything we rode was fun, I just wish it was a little closer ;).

If your a dirt biker you will love Coler. Best I've rode in Bentonville. Rogers bike park was nice also.

The Railyard in Rogers looks crazy, unfortunately it was closed when we were down there last weekend. Slaughter Pens is great and so is Blowing Springs, I want to go again for days on end.
