Snake Thread

Postby Lawson_Raider » Thu May 19, 2016 6:34 am

I thought our slitherly friends should have their own dedicated thread...we see them from time to time on the trail, road, gravel, etc and we all know they hang out there because they want to be famous and noticed. :?

Was on a gravel ride yesterday by the farm and ran into a Great Plains Rat Snake just chilling on the gravel...So here he or she is on the forum getting his/her 15 minutes of fame.

Post up your pics of snakes you encounter on your rides.

I love seeing snakes during my rides - most of the snakes (98% of them) I see are the non-venomous ones but really a treat to see the venomous ones - I saw this Copperhead at Smithville Lake a few years ago.

Well, I don't swing that way so Mr. Copperhead will just have to look elsewhere for that satisfaction. :D

Bonktoberfest 2014-Womble

Can you spot the big, angry timber rattler in the pic below?

I backed way off after coming in fast and pissing it off.

How about now that it is off the trail?

I motion that all snakes on the trail be given honorary Earthriders membership.
I use my fat bike as an excuse for why I'm slow, but I really just suck at riding.

SLOWEST REGULAR RIDER OF '13, '14, '15 and beyond I'm sure.
Bought a fat bike to hold the record...
